Transfer: Trossard embarks on a new chapter

Belgian international winger Leandro Trossard, a player who notably helped Arsenal secure the English championship and reach the Champions League final last season, has officially concluded his time with the Gunners to embark on a new challenge with Turkish club Besiktas.

After dedicating three and a half seasons to the North London side, where he amassed an impressive record of 36 goals and 34 assists across 174 appearances, the 31-year-old Trossard received approval from Arsenal. He was “authorized to travel to Istanbul for a medical examination and to complete the necessary administrative procedures for his transfer,” as stated by the club.

While the Gunners confirmed that an “agreement on the transfer fee” had been successfully reached with Besiktas, the prominent Istanbul club wasted no time in unveiling their new acquisition. They shared a photograph on X featuring Trossard proudly donning his new black and white jersey alongside club president Serdal Adali. On the international stage, Trossard also showcased his prowess by reaching the World Cup quarter-finals with Belgium, where he contributed two crucial goals.
