The final whistle of Ligue 1 is approaching, but for FC Nantes, the season ended with a thud. The Canaries welcome Toulouse FC to the Beaujoire Stadium this Sunday, May 17, in a match overshadowed by Nantes’ relegation to Ligue 2. Here’s everything you need to know to catch this decisive clash in real time.
Nantes vs Toulouse kicks off at 21:00 CET at the Stade de la Beaujoire. The game will be broadcast live and exclusively on Ligue 1+, the official league broadcaster, as well as on DAZN and RMC Sport platforms.
Nantes’ relegation sets the stage for a bittersweet farewell
The FC Nantes’ fate is sealed. After a 1-0 loss to RC Lens, the Canaries are officially relegated to Ligue 2, sitting 17th with just 23 points. This season’s struggles were not a fluke but the result of a systemic failure across the board. Sunday’s match at home will be a poignant farewell for a club that now faces a rebuilding phase. Toulouse, on the other hand, approaches this game with greater calm. The Violets sit 10th with 44 points, fresh off a 2-1 victory over Lyon. Dayann Methalie scored early, with Warren Kamanzi sealing the win. A shadow looms, however—defender Aron Donnum received a red card and will miss the trip to Nantes due to suspension.
