Mohamed Salah breaks Liverpool’s Premier League assist record in emotional final appearance

In a fitting farewell to Anfield, Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah delivered a crucial assist in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Brentford on the final day of the Premier League season, securing his place as the club’s all-time top assister in England’s top flight.
Salah’s perfectly weighted through ball to Curtis Jones gave Liverpool their only goal against Brentford, lifting his Premier League assist tally to 93. This milestone saw him overtake former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who held the record with 92 assists.
