Psg set to complete first summer signing with russian star

Paris Saint-Germain on the brink of summer transfer coup

With the 2025-2026 season concluded in spectacular fashion, Paris Saint-Germain are already laying the groundwork for the next campaign. The club’s stunning Champions League triumph over Arsenal in a penalty shootout capped a historic double, and now the Parisian giants are turning their attention to squad reinforcement.

Fresh off their back-to-back European crown, the Rouge et Bleu are determined to claim a third consecutive Champions League trophy. To achieve this, Sporting Director Luis Campos and his team are actively reshaping the squad, with the first domino set to fall imminently.

Russian midfielder poised for move to Parc des Princes

The club’s initial target appears to be Aleksey Batrakov, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder from Lokomotiv Moscow. The player, who has featured 36 times this season across all competitions, has been a consistent goal threat with 17 strikes and 13 assists.

Batrakov’s agent, Dmitry Cheltsov, revealed in a Russian television interview that the deal is practically finalized. “The time has come to confirm that, at 95%, Batrakov will be joining Paris Saint-Germain. PSG and Lokomotiv officials have already held over ten phone conversations. Campos is scheduled to travel to Moscow this week to finalize the paperwork. Unless an unforeseen obstacle arises, this transfer will go through. The fee is set at €25 million, with an annual salary of €5-6 million.”

The announcement follows weeks of speculation linking the Russian international with a move to Ligue 1. With his creative flair and goal-scoring record, Batrakov aligns perfectly with PSG’s recruitment strategy as they aim to maintain their continental dominance.
