PSG’s intense internal clash ahead of Champions League final without Dembélé and Hakimi

The Ballon d’Or winner and the Moroccan defender skipped the internal friendly match in Poissy, but their absence raises no concerns ahead of the Arsenal showdown.

With the UEFA Champions League final just seven days away, Paris Saint-Germain staged a high-stakes internal scrimmage in Poissy to fine-tune preparations for the May 30 clash against Arsenal in Budapest. Luis Enrique orchestrated the full-contact training session, splitting his squad into two eleven-player teams for an hour-long battle that mirrored real match intensity.

Black Team: Marin – Fanne Drame, Zabarnyi, Hernandez, Mendes – Mayulu, Neves, Beraldo – Doué, Ramos, Barcola.

White Team: Safonov – Zaïre-Emery, Pacho, Marquinhos, Cordier – Dro, Vitinha, Ruiz – Mbaye, Lee, Kvaratskhelia.

France’s Ballon d’Or recipient and Morocco’s defensive stalwart were notably absent from the pitch, each completing individualized conditioning instead. Club insiders confirm both players remain fully fit—no risk was taken—and are set to start against the Gunners next weekend. Mendes and Pacho, sidelined against Paris FC last time out, featured prominently in the drill.

Luis Enrique called up youth prospects Abdou Fanne Drame, Rayan Abo El Nay, Thomas Cordier and Yanis Khafi for the exercise. Vitinha, Ibrahim Mbaye and Gonçalo Ramos found the net during the intense session.

Final training session Tuesday

Over 1,000 ultras turned out to cheer the side, rewarded for their season-long support. The Collective Ultras Paris unfurled a banner reading ‘Once is historic, twice is legendary’. More than 150 youngsters from PSG for Communities also attended, personally invited by President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. After the final whistle, Marquinhos and teammates gifted shirts and balls to fans on-site. The squad now enjoys a two-day break before resuming training Tuesday, entering the decisive homestretch.
