To mark the 105th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (PCC), the Chinese Embassy in Gabon recently hosted a significant press conference. This event offered crucial insights into the PCC’s remarkable evolution and its pivotal role on the global stage. Chinese diplomats detailed the party’s historical path, showcasing its profound impact on the nation’s destiny. In a span of mere decades, China achieved extraordinary industrial growth, a testament to its dual success in rapid economic expansion and enduring social stability.
Grasping the intricacies of modern China necessitates a deep understanding of the PCC’s operational framework. This point was underscored by Xiaole Zhu, the Embassy’s Minister-Counselor. He highlighted the PCC’s incredible expansion: “Over 105 years, the Chinese Communist Party, which began with merely fifty members, has transformed into the world’s largest governing party, now boasting over 100 million members.“
This monumental rise stems from a unique bond with the populace. The PCC derives its strength from deep popular roots and a continually evolving theoretical system, which adeptly molds Marxism to suit the nation’s specific and changing circumstances. Furthermore, stringent internal discipline is upheld to maintain the Party’s vitality. An extensive anti-corruption campaign and a rigorous reinforcement of discipline have successfully mitigated potential risks. Ambassador Zhou Ping succinctly captured this ethos, stating, “To forge high-quality steel, the tools themselves must possess immense strength.“
A shared vision for the future with Gabon
On the international front, China consistently reaffirms its dedication as a global peace architect and a significant contributor to worldwide development. Through the strategic implementation of its quinquennial plans, the nation sustains an approximate 30% contribution to global economic expansion. Concurrently, major initiatives like “The Belt and Road” actively promote broader international collaboration and are responsible for generating hundreds of thousands of employment opportunities.
This commemorative event also served to reinforce the strong bilateral ties with Libreville. The Ambassador concluded the proceedings warmly, emphasizing that “China and Gabon stand as excellent, traditionally trusted partners.” As a new era of cooperation dawns, Pékin expresses its full readiness to deepen exchanges concerning governance, aiming to collectively forge a community with a shared future.
