Two years after leaving Crystal Palace for Bayern Munich, Michael Olise (24) is once again making headlines in the transfer market. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are reportedly keen on the winger. Will he move on after the World Cup with France? Didier Deschamps has weighed in.

Could Michael Olise become the standout story of the summer? The right winger delivered an assist for Kylian Mbappé during his first World Cup appearance for France on Tuesday, cementing his place as a key starter in Didier Deschamps’ attacking setup. He has been on fire this season with Bayern Munich, tallying 22 goals and 26 assists across all competitions. Both PSG and Real Madrid are said to be eyeing the London-born star, who has scored three goals and provided one assist in his last two outings with Les Bleus.
“He has developed”
Didier Deschamps gave an interview recently, and the subject of Michael Olise naturally came up. Before addressing the recurring transfer speculation, the France coach expressed his satisfaction with Olise’s progress. “Michael Olise has made incredible strides. Things were a bit tough and challenging for him with us at the start. But through perseverance and support, he has developed,” Deschamps said.
“He will continue to shine if he stays at Bayern Munich”
According to Didier Deschamps, Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany deserves a lot of credit for Olise’s current form. That’s why Deschamps believes the player should prioritize staying at Bayern Munich over potentially listening to offers from Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid. “Coach Vincent Kompany has played a key role in Michael’s rapid rise. He has had an outstanding season under him, showing efficiency, character, and personality. He will continue to shine if he remains at Bayern Munich,” Deschamps added.
