Ousmane Dembélé’s crucial penalty brings PSG back into Champions League contention
Ousmane Dembélé leveled the score for Paris Saint-Germain with a penalty, following a foul by Mosquera on Kvaratskhelia.
Paris Saint-Germain supporters found renewed hope after a challenging start. Following an early goal conceded to Havertz just six minutes into the game and a subdued opening hour, the Parisians dramatically reignited their chances in the UEFA Champions League final. Star forward Ousmane Dembélé successfully converted a penalty kick in the 65th minute, expertly sending Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya the wrong way.
The crucial penalty stemmed from Kvaratskhelia’s skillful play on the left flank, drawing a late challenge from defender Mosquera. Despite having already received a yellow card, the Spanish player avoided being sent off for the foul. Arsenal manager Arteta promptly substituted Mosquera shortly after the incident.
