Battle of banners at Bollaert: PSG supporters mock Lens, while Sang et Or fans strike back
The Paris Saint-Germain side sealed their 14th Ligue 1 title in dramatic fashion at Lens, but the night was defined as much by the match itself as by the fiery exchanges between rival supporters.
Paris Saint-Germain’s triumphant 14th Ligue 1 title was officially secured on Lens soil, yet the evening’s most memorable moments unfolded not on the pitch, but in the stands. With the Parc des Princes faithful present in force at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, a war of words erupted between the two sets of supporters, each brandishing banners laced with sharp wit and biting sarcasm.
The roughly 1,000 Parisian fans wasted no time in launching their first salvo, unfurling a provocative banner aimed squarely at their rivals: « Lens champion? Give up the dream… go back to drinking !!!! » The message, dripping with mockery, struck a raw nerve with the Lens supporters, who were still in the hunt for the title just days earlier. Their response came swiftly and with equal venom, targeting the Collectif Ultras Paris with a scathing retort: « Missing your beer in Qatar? CUP bastards ».
Tensions had already been simmering throughout the match, with the Lens faithful making their displeasure known through additional banners directed at the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) and club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The atmosphere inside the stadium crackled with intensity as both sets of fans clashed not just in spirit, but in words, each side determined to outdo the other in the battle of wits.
