Côte d’Ivoire’s hydrocarbon leader celebrates six decades of growth and future ambitions

An industry stalwart with roots stretching back six decades has launched a year-long celebration to honor its legacy while charting an ambitious path forward. The milestone event, held at the company’s Vridi headquarters in Abidjan, marked the official beginning of commemorations that will highlight heritage, innovation, and unwavering commitment to energy leadership across Côte d’Ivoire and the wider West African region.

The anniversary festivities align with a sweeping strategic roadmap—spanning 2026 through 2030—that prioritizes governance enhancement, workforce development, accelerated digital transformation, and sustainable value creation. These pillars reflect the company’s resolve to remain at the forefront of an evolving energy landscape where resilience and forward-thinking are essential.

Leadership reflects on six decades of progress

During a gathering attended by partners, employees, and institutional guests, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Alassane Ouattara, underscored the significance of six decades in operation. He emphasized how the organization has continuously adapted to meet the demands of a dynamic market while fostering trust among customers, collaborators, and partners.

« These six decades embody a story of trust, resilience, and dedication to our stakeholders. Our mission is to carry this momentum forward with responsibility and resolve, shaping the Corlay of tomorrow, » he remarked. The CEO also revealed that a series of year-round initiatives—including promotional campaigns, community outreach, and social projects—will deepen the company’s connection with clients and partners while reinforcing its brand presence.

Expanding influence across key sectors

Mohamed Touré, a senior executive, highlighted the company’s strategic positioning across industrial, maritime, and lubricant segments. With over 60 service stations operating nationwide, a production capacity exceeding 16,000 tons of lubricants annually, and a robust footprint in both local and regional markets, the company is well-positioned for continued growth.

The anniversary celebration serves as a platform to showcase past achievements while projecting future ambitions. The company aims to strengthen its leadership in maritime fuel supply, high-value lubricants, and innovative energy solutions—a critical priority as energy concerns take center stage across West Africa.

Sustainability and digital transformation at the core

The strategic vision outlined for the next five years places a strong emphasis on sustainability and technological advancement. By embracing digital tools, optimizing operational efficiency, and investing in eco-friendly practices, the company is positioning itself to meet the evolving needs of a competitive market while contributing to the nation’s energy security.
