Morocco strengthens defence capabilities with acquisition of advanced turkish-made drones

Morocco’s royal armed forces have officially integrated the turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı drones into their fleet, according to satellite imagery analysed from the sixth air base in Ben Guerir. The advanced unmanned aerial vehicles, manufactured by Baykar, were received early last year and are now operational alongside the earlier Bayraktar TB2 models already in service.

The satellite images confirm the presence of these cutting-edge drones at the base, marking a significant upgrade to Morocco’s aerial surveillance and strike capabilities. The Akıncı drones are known for their extended range, higher payload capacity, and enhanced endurance compared to the TB2, providing the kingdom with a robust tool for both reconnaissance and combat missions.
