Diplomat Najeeb Durrani, previously stationed in Lebanon and Dubai, outlined Islamabad’s vision for a more dynamic partnership with Lomé. His agenda includes expanding cooperation in trade, agriculture, and technology—key sectors identified for mutual growth.
« We are committed to strengthening ties in policy, foreign affairs, and economic sectors, » he stated, emphasizing the importance of this new alliance in Togo’s broader strategy to engage with Asian economic powerhouses.
Ghana-Togo relations set to flourish on shared values and security
Ambassador George Kofi Nfojoh celebrated the deep cultural and historical ties binding Ghana and Togo, declaring, « We are one people, sharing the same heritage […] collaboration is essential for our shared prosperity. »
With a background in international relations and legislative experience, he emphasized the need to bolster security cooperation in response to regional challenges. He also praised the seamless movement of goods and people across their borders, a testament to the enduring partnership between the two nations.
