Football enthusiasts might soon have the opportunity to watch a Ligue 1 fixture without a subscription, broadcast freely each week. This significant change is outlined in an amendment to a proposed law aimed at reforming professional sports, currently under review by the National Assembly.

Presently, access to Ligue 1 matches requires a subscription to the Ligue1+ platform, which starts at 15 euros per month. This dedicated streaming service currently boasts approximately one million subscribers.
