Nestled in eastern Chad, the city of Abéché stands as a vibrant hub, deeply intertwined with its neighbor, Sudan. Often described as the most Sudanese of Chadian cities, Abéché reflects a rich cultural exchange and historical connection that shapes its unique identity within the region.
This profound link has become even more pronounced amidst the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Abéché has emerged as a critical sanctuary, welcoming countless Sudanese refugees seeking safety and sustenance.
