During a recent press conference, Aminata Touré, the general supervisor for the Diomaye Président coalition, offered her perspective on the departure of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
Touré asserted that Ousmane Sonko’s period as head of government ultimately ended in failure, which directly led to his dismissal. She remarked with irony, “We appointed you Prime Minister, entrusted you with important portfolios, yet you accomplished nothing, leading to your removal.”
Furthermore, Aminata Touré underscored that genuine leadership lies in resolving the challenges faced by the Senegalese people through the application of one’s skills, strategic thinking, and established networks. She contrasted this with merely exercising executive powers for two years without delivering concrete solutions to the nation’s ongoing difficulties.
