After several weeks of anticipation, candidates for the 2026 Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) will learn their fate this Friday. The deliberation is set for 10:30 am, involving the 286,995 students who sat for the exams across Bénin.
The official launch of the examination this year took place at the Gbofoly public primary school in the commune of Aplahoué. The 2026 session also included 97 candidates with special needs, among them 36 girls, who took the test across 13 dedicated centers.
Education authorities report a 5.56% increase in the candidate count compared to the previous session, reflecting growing participation in the primary cycle assessment.
With the deliberation scheduled for this Friday, thousands of candidates and their families are holding their breath. The results will mark the end of primary education for these students and open the door to secondary schooling.
