The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita, held a meeting in Rabat on Wednesday with Crispin Mbadu Phanzu, Deputy Minister in charge of Francophonie and Congolese Abroad from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The envoy was carrying a message from President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Following the high-level discussions, Crispin Mbadu Phanzu highlighted the strong bilateral cooperation between Morocco and the DRC, rooted in a shared historical connection. He emphasized that his visit aims to advance the DRC‘s bid for the position of Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).
The diplomatic engagement underscores the importance of Francophonie as a bridge between nations and reflects the DRC‘s strategic efforts to bolster its international presence through linguistic and cultural diplomacy.
