FC Nantes handed closed-door match following pitch invasion against Toulouse

The LFP disciplinary committee has ruled that FC Nantes will play their next match behind closed doors following fan disturbances during the final Ligue 1 matchday against Toulouse.
The disciplinary body of France’s top football league has decided to impose a closed-door match at Nantes’ Stade de la Beaujoire, along with a two-match closure of the Loire stand. The decision comes after home supporters invaded the pitch in protest of the club’s relegation to Ligue 2.
The match against Toulouse was abandoned when fans rushed onto the field late in the game. The disciplinary committee has now confirmed the score at the time of abandonment (0-0) as the final result.
This sanction marks another challenging chapter for FC Nantes as they prepare to compete in France’s second tier next season. The club will have to adapt their operations to comply with the league’s strict disciplinary measures while regrouping after a turbulent campaign.
