Gonçalo Ramos leaves PSG for AC Milan in record deal

Expected to be very active this summer, Paris Saint-Germain has just announced its first major transfer. Indeed, Gonçalo Ramos leaves the capital club after three seasons in Paris. The Portuguese striker has signed with AC Milan through 2031.

And while activity behind the scenes appears to be intensifying, the first major transfer of the window has just been made official with Gonçalo Ramos signing for AC Milan.

Gonçalo Ramos joins AC Milan: official announcement

Indeed, via an official statement, PSG confirmed the transfer: “After three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain and no fewer than 12 trophies, including two consecutive Champions League titles, Gonçalo Ramos has joined AC Milan on a permanent basis.” Shortly after, the Italian club confirmed the news, specifying the contract length: “AC Milan today announced the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC. The Portuguese forward has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2031.

PSG’s second biggest sale ever

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano reports that AC Milan will pay €74 million, with bonuses potentially raising the total to €80 million. This is the most expensive signing in Rossoneri history and also the second biggest sale in PSG’s history. The €90 million paid by Al-Hilal for Neymar in 2023 remains the record for a player sale from the capital club, but Gonçalo Ramos now sits just behind, ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Xavi Simons, both transferred for €50 million to Manchester United and Tottenham respectively.
