In front of an impressive audience of scientific, cultural and diplomatic figures, Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the African Institute of Informatics of Cameroon (IAI-Cameroun) / Paul Biya Technological Excellence Centre, solemnly received the “African Student Excellence Prize” (PEEA) from the association of the same name, led by Géraude Akakpo, on 27 June 2026 in Paris, France. This prestigious award recognizes his resilience, academic excellence and ethical commitment to leadership with an impact from Africa internationally.
This international recognition highlights the intrinsic value of this well-trained young man (in software engineering) at IAI-Cameroun, managed by Resident Representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the UNESCO Chair for Central Africa Access-ICT.
By winning this Silver Award, which values resilience, commitment and academic excellence among students from the African diaspora and the continent, the sustained expertise of IAI-Cameroun emerges crowned. The happy recipient acknowledged that it is thanks to the qualities (rigour, discipline, taste for a job well done, perseverance…) acquired at the Paul Biya Technological Excellence Centre that he is a role model of success today. “On the big day, I will wear the colours of IAI. In my speech and exchanges, I will remind people where I come from and the quality of the training I received from you. It is a pride to represent the school before this audience,” expressed the young laureate. A true source of pride for IAI and its top management, who spare no effort in placing young people with proven skills on the job market.
It is worth noting that, a few weeks earlier, the AgriGuardian platform, of which Brayan Yebga Miyogog is one of the main drivers, won the “TechforTech Public Prize” of the Petit Poucet 2026 competition.
For the record, Mr. Miyogog is a trainer and junior architect in systems, networks and cybersecurity based in Montpellier, France. This digital virtuoso combines advanced skills in computing, digital security and AI.
