Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is uncertain after a challenging season on loan at Tottenham, with the club reportedly set to release the forward. Meanwhile, Juventus has emerged as the frontrunner to sign the French striker, but not everyone within the club’s inner circle is convinced. Former Juventus striker Nicola Amoruso has publicly voiced his preference for Dusan Vlahovic over Kolo Muani, casting doubt on the transfer’s viability.
Juventus is expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, particularly in the attacking department. The club has identified Kolo Muani as a top target despite his underwhelming performances during his spell at Tottenham. However, the Bianconeri may also look to part ways with Vlahovic, whose contract expires on June 30, to reduce wage expenses. Amoruso, however, strongly disagrees with this potential move.
Amoruso’s strong preference for Vlahovic
In an interview, Amoruso made his stance clear: “If I had to choose one player, it would always be Dusan.” He went on to explain his reasoning, stating that Vlahovic’s lack of full integration doesn’t equate to a lack of desirability. “The Serbo-Croatian striker is elite in his position. Few available forwards match his level and potential. Extending his contract would be a wise decision. He finished the season with a remarkable attitude and eagerness to play for Juventus. Spalletti’s involvement in the team’s tactics and his trust in Vlahovic have transformed his career as a striker—a point proven by his goals whenever he was fit.”
Reconstructing Juventus with champions
Amoruso also offered advice to newly appointed sporting director Giovanni Carnevali regarding transfer strategy: “We need top-tier players, champions. It’s not easy given the Champions League elimination, which impacts how exceptional players are evaluated. However, we must rebuild by staying true to Juventus’ legacy—a history built on champions.”
