Key safety rules for chadian pilgrims ahead of hadj 2026

The Office National pour l’Organisation du Pèlerinage (ORGEP) has issued a critical reminder to Chadian pilgrims preparing for the Hadj 2026, outlining strict safety and discipline guidelines following a recent international conference in Djeddah.

essential guidelines for a secure pilgrimage

In a formal notice, the ORGEP has emphasized the importance of adhering to the directives set by Saudi authorities to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage. Among the key recommendations are the following:

  • Strict prohibition on political or partisan discussions: Any form of political or religious debate is strictly forbidden in hotels and at the sacred sites of Mina, Arafat, and Mouzdalifa. Organizing or participating in such activities is also prohibited.
  • No unauthorized hosting: Pilgrims are not permitted to accommodate or host individuals who are not officially registered in their accommodations or at ritual sites.
  • Heat precautions: Given the extreme temperatures in Saudi Arabia, authorities strongly advise avoiding outdoor activities between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to minimize health risks. Long walks between ritual locations are discouraged to preserve the physical well-being of pilgrims.
  • Delegation of physically demanding rituals: Elderly, ill, or physically challenged pilgrims are encouraged to designate a representative to perform the Djamarat stoning ritual on their behalf.
  • Emergency contact: In case of any urgent situation, pilgrims should immediately reach out to the dedicated Saudi emergency hotline: 1966.

a call for strict compliance

The ORGEP urges all Chadian pilgrims to fully comply with these measures to safeguard their well-being and ensure the successful completion of the Hadj 2026. By following these guidelines, pilgrims can contribute to a peaceful and orderly pilgrimage experience.
