The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is poised to intensify its legal and financial countermeasures, drawing strength from recent reports by Human Rights Watch and Global Witness. These publications provide critical insights into the ongoing security and humanitarian crises, as well as the illicit exploitation of natural resources, within the Eastern DRC regions controlled by the AFC/M23 rebellion.
