While Paris Saint-Germain were reported among the clubs interested in Yan Diomande, they may now need to explore other options. The Ivory Coast international has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Liverpool, leaving only the transfer fee to be settled with RB Leipzig, who are demanding €120 million for his departure.

Having arrived just one year ago from Leganés, all signs point to Yan Diomande not spending a second season in the colors of RB Leipzig. With 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions in the 2025-2026 season and currently competing at the 2026 World Cup, the Ivory Coast international (12 caps) is heavily sought after, particularly by PSG and Liverpool.
Agreement between Liverpool and Diomande
Reports indicated that Luis Enrique had personally intervened in this case, but the Spanish coach’s involvement may not be enough. According to information gathered, Yan Diomande has already reached a preliminary agreement with the Reds, who are searching for a successor to Mohamed Salah. Now, the only step left is to find common ground with RB Leipzig, where the 19-year-old winger is under contract until 2030 and who are demanding €120 million to let him go.
‘My agents are handling it’
Even Emerse Faé could not avoid questions about his player’s future. After Côte d’Ivoire‘s 1-0 victory over Ecuador, the Elephants coach said: “When we were in France for preparation, journalists said he was going to sign for PSG. Now, today, I arrive in the United States and they tell me he will sign for Liverpool. We’ll see. I think he is very focused on the World Cup first, and afterwards he will make the best decision for the rest of his career.” The player himself deflected attention to his representatives: “My agents are handling it, and I am more focused on my World Cup. That is the most important thing. It doesn’t happen all the time, only every four years, so I am enjoying it to the fullest. The rest, we’ll see.”
