PASTEF’s strategic outreach in Jolof: Ousmane Sonko strengthens party presence

PASTEF-Les Patriotes recently concluded an impactful two-day political tour across the Jolof region of Senegal. This extensive outreach saw the party traverse all 19 communes within the Linguère department, spanning communities from Dahra to Barkédji, and encompassing Sagatta and Yang-Yang. The tour was notably attended by party leader Ousmane Sonko, Minister of State Habib Sy, alongside numerous national executives and key allies from their coalition.

The itinerary featured significant engagements with local religious and traditional authorities, complementing interactions with the party’s grassroots organizations, including youth movements, women’s groups, and professional cadres. Following this successful mobilization, the local party leadership formally outlined its strategic roadmap for forthcoming initiatives. With the inauguration of its departmental headquarters and the commencement of member card distribution, PASTEF is poised to strengthen its regional presence through a localized approach, engaging directly with communities in villages and neighborhoods throughout the department.

Concurrently with these internal organizational efforts, local political figures are extending an invitation for unity to militants, sympathizers, and political actors from other affiliations who are interested in contributing to their territorial development agenda.
