The diplomatic relationship between Morocco and the Philippines rests on a strong foundation that can be leveraged across multiple strategic fields, according to Philippine Ambassador to Rabat, Leslie Baja, who praised the 50 years of bilateral ties marked last year.
In an interview, Mr. Baja highlighted that both nations have traveled a rich path defined by high-level visits, numerous signed agreements, and the building of robust people-to-people bonds, which he described as the bedrock for the next half-century of collaboration.
On the economic front, the Philippine diplomat noted a significant uptick in two-way trade in recent years, pointing out that commercial exchanges have climbed roughly 50%, though the numbers still fall short of what both sides aspire to achieve.
