Motion de censure : Ousmane Sonko prêt à faire tomber le gouvernement d’Al Aminou Lo

Ousmane Sonko has publicly stated his party’s readiness to initiate a motion of no confidence against the current government. Speaking during a gathering in Touba, the prominent PASTEF leader made it unequivocally clear that his political movement would not hesitate to deploy this parliamentary mechanism to challenge practices deemed unacceptable.

During a recent event held yesterday in Touba, part of PASTEF’s 48-hour program, Ousmane Sonko issued a direct warning regarding a potential motion of no confidence aimed at the government, currently led by Prime Minister Al Aminou Lo. The leader of PASTEF indicated that his party would not shy away from utilizing this parliamentary tool if the existing policy directions were to persist.

“We will employ every legal avenue at our disposal, including a motion of no confidence, to bring down the government, and we will do so as many times as necessary,” Ousmane Sonko declared to his party’s supporters. The president of PASTEF justified this firm stance by asserting that his political formation cannot endorse practices that contradict the fundamental principles for which its members have tirelessly advocated.

“We have struggled for a decade, enduring sacrifices and the loss of martyrs. We will not permit such practices to become entrenched,” he emphasized. Through this powerful statement, Ousmane Sonko firmly positions the motion of no confidence as a central component of his party’s political strategy against the government. He considers this parliamentary recourse a legitimate method to oppose decisions his party disapproves of, affirming PASTEF’s readiness to activate it whenever circumstances demand.
