In Mankono, the departmental secretariat of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP) for both the commune and sub-prefecture recently concluded its political re-entry session. Held from July 17 to 18, 2026, the event focused on a comprehensive review of the 2025 elections, extensive training for party members, and concerted efforts to reinvigorate grassroots structures.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary whose political jurisdiction encompasses the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, underscored the unwavering commitment of party activists in the Béré region. Their collective dedication, he affirmed, is geared towards strengthening the presidential party’s influence and presence.
Namory expressed satisfaction with the RHDP’s triumph in the recent legislative elections within his political department, where Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité secured a decisive victory. However, he voiced regret over instances of indiscipline among some party members, suggesting that such conduct occasionally received backing from certain party officials.
“We bear a responsibility to be sincere with our members to uphold the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he stated, issuing a call for enhanced discipline and unity throughout the RHDP.
This strategic political re-entry was structured around two pivotal segments. The inaugural day featured a thought-provoking seminar titled: “Drawing Lessons from the Recent Polls and Charting the Course for the New Militant Cycle.”
During this gathering, Professor Soro David, the Deputy National Secretary for RHDP political structures, delivered a compelling conference. His presentation focused on “The Contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the Development of the Béré Region.”
Professor Soro detailed the significant achievements realized in Béré through the PND 2021-2025, subsequently outlining the promising opportunities presented by the upcoming PND 2026-2030. He asserted, “The Béré region has greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” highlighting numerous planned projects across education, health, and infrastructure sectors.
Furthermore, Professor Soro commended the dedication of regional leaders and citizens who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for Béré’s ongoing development and for reinforcing governmental initiatives throughout this vital part of the nation.
