Peru’s incoming government has pledged unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its southern provinces, according to a statement from President-elect Keiko Fujimori’s office.

This commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting between the elected president and Morocco’s ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri, who presented a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI following her election.

The incoming administration’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its southern provinces was highlighted, the statement noted. President-elect Keiko Fujimori also reiterated her full backing for United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797, which endorses the autonomy plan as a foundation for resolving the regional dispute over the Sahara.

In his message to Keiko Fujimori, the Moroccan monarch conveyed his warmest congratulations, praising the trust placed in her by the Peruvian people to advance progress and prosperity. The King also expressed his satisfaction with the strong and enduring friendship between Morocco and Peru, built on mutual respect and shared values.

He emphasized his determination to work closely with the Peruvian leader to elevate bilateral ties to a comprehensive partnership that benefits both nations.
