Paris Saint-Germain have yet to make a signing this summer, but the club is actively exploring several options. One target is West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes. However, the Portugal international is also attracting interest from multiple English clubs, including Tottenham, now led by former Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Mateus Fernandes tracked for midfield role
PSG already boast a strong Portuguese contingent with Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Gonçalo Ramos and João Neves, but the club may not be done there. PSG have set their sights on West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, a 21-year-old Portugal international. Despite West Ham’s relegation to the second division, Fernandes stood out individually and could be available for over €90 million this summer.
Tottenham join the race for Mateus Fernandes
Manchester United have been in negotiations with West Ham and the player’s representatives for weeks. However, Tottenham and their coach Roberto De Zerbi are also keen to secure the midfielder. Just months after leaving Marseille, the Italian coach could deal a blow to his former rival. Additionally, PSG are monitoring West Ham forward Crysencio Summerville, who is currently at the World Cup.
