UK seeks strengthened partnership with Morocco
The recent visit to Rabat by Chris Bryant, the UK’s Minister of State for Trade, has reinforced the growing momentum behind UK-Morocco relations, positioning the two nations as strategic partners.
The United Kingdom views Morocco as a land of opportunity and is committed to doubling the current trade volume of approximately £4.5 billion between the two countries over the next five to seven years, Bryant announced during his meeting with Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
Bryant emphasized the UK’s ambition to expand commercial ties with Morocco as a strategic partner, highlighting the North African nation’s pivotal role in supporting major sporting events, including the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Accompanied by over 50 companies specializing in international sporting event management, Bryant attended the Morocco-UK Business Forum held on June 2 and 3, 2026.
The two countries are also set to convene the fourth session of the UK-Morocco Association Council, further solidifying their collaborative framework.
