Yan diomandé set to join psg much faster than expected

This summer’s transfer window might see one of its biggest moves. Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly taken the lead in signing Yan Diomandé from RB Leipzig. The winger, currently impressing with Côte d’Ivoire at the World Cup, has chosen the French capital club over Liverpool’s persistent efforts. Liverpool had already sent two bids exceeding €100 million to the German side. Now, with the player’s preference secured, PSG is ready to intensify negotiations with RB Leipzig to finalize an agreement.

PSG growing increasingly confident over Diomandé deal

Paris Saint-Germain is highly optimistic about completing the Yan Diomandé transfer. Thanks to strong ties between PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and RB Leipzig supervisory board chairman Oliver Mintzlaff, the club believes it can move swiftly to seal the agreement. According to sources close to the negotiations, Diomandé could become PSG’s first summer signing—even ahead of Maghnes Akliouche, whose transfer talks were thought to be more advanced. An official announcement could come within days.

Will Diomandé be PSG’s first summer arrival?

For now, Yan Diomandé remains focused on the World Cup, where Côte d’Ivoire will face Norway in the Round of 32. Once the tournament concludes, the winger could fulfill his childhood dream by joining PSG. “My future? I have a team handling that. I’m trying to stay as focused as possible. I’ve loved PSG since I was a kid. I think my dad was a PSG fan. But I’m not looking ahead—I’m concentrating on the World Cup. We’ll see what happens next,” he said on the sidelines of a friendly between France and Côte d’Ivoire before the World Cup.
