Cameroon’s Trade Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana has announced a major promotional sale targeting essential consumer goods in Yaoundé.

The initiative, set to unfold over several weeks at Boulevard du 20 Mai, represents a strategic move to alleviate financial pressures on households during a crucial period.

The promotional campaign will run from June 22 to September 30, 2026, offering discounted essential goods at the Boulevard du 20 Mai location.

The Ministry of Trade emphasized that this initiative aligns with government efforts to combat rising living costs. “This campaign, developed in partnership with socially responsible businesses, directly supports purchasing power during the summer break while ensuring affordable school supplies are available for families preparing for the 2026-2027 academic year,” stated ministry officials.

Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana added that “while Yaoundé and surrounding areas will be the primary focus, this initiative will expand nationwide through mobile promotional caravans.”
