Cameroon’s Senate is fully ready for the opening of its ordinary session in June 2026, scheduled for tomorrow, 9 June 2026.
Demonstrating administrative thoroughness, the Senate’s Secretary General, Mr. Gustave Léopold Ngane, along with the Deputy Secretary General and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, 8 June 2026.
This final assessment aimed to confirm the readiness of all critical infrastructure for smooth parliamentary proceedings. The delegation carefully examined conference rooms, the VIP reception lounge, banquet halls, and the main hemicycle where senators will convene throughout the session.
After the inspection, the Secretary General expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness of all installations. He stated that all logistical and technical arrangements have been finalized ahead of the session opening.
Following parliamentary tradition, the June ordinary session will primarily focus on budget orientation debates, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Court of Accounts of the Supreme Court, as well as careful review and adoption of draft laws.
