In a disturbing sequence of events unfolding in the Central African Republic, two individuals, Antoine Zogonimbou and Mboliloungoule, have reportedly endured a harrowing ordeal. Their journey began with an abduction in Zemio, followed by alleged torture in Berengo, before culminating in their detention within the gendarmerie cells in Bangui. This series of grave incidents is directly attributed to the actions of Russian mercenaries operating in the region.
The initial kidnapping of Antoine Zogonimbou and Mboliloungoule took place in Zemio, a location where they were forcibly taken. Following their apprehension, the two men were then transported to Berengo. It was there, according to reports, that they were subjected to brutal torture, highlighting the severe methods purportedly employed by their captors during this period.
Eventually, the Russian mercenary forces involved in their capture and mistreatment brought Zogonimbou and Mboliloungoule to the capital city, Bangui. Instead of being released or receiving necessary aid, they were handed over to the local gendarmerie. They are now confined within the Bangui gendarmerie’s detention facilities, marking a grim conclusion to their ordeal and underscoring the significant impact of Russian mercenary actions in the Central African Republic.
