The President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, hosted his Beninese counterpart, Romuald Wadagni, in Ouagadougou for an official visit centered on revitalizing bilateral relations. The leaders emphasized cross-border security collaboration and economic partnership, particularly in combating terrorism and accelerating infrastructure development.

During the talks, both heads of state highlighted the strategic importance of the Port of Cotonou for Burkina Faso’s trade flows. They agreed to fast-track preparations for the fifth session of the Joint High Commission, a platform designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

The visit concluded with an official invitation extended by President Wadagni to his Burkinabè counterpart, marking a step forward in regional diplomacy.
