The Chadian government is bolstering its efforts to combat human trafficking, with a sharp focus on protecting women and children. Authorities are enforcing existing laws more rigorously while issuing circulars to security and justice officials to reinforce the urgency of these measures.

Human trafficking represents a severe violation of human rights, often involving sexual exploitation and forced labor. Chad, a signatory to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime since 2009, has adopted multiple legal frameworks to address this issue, including Ordinance No. 006/PR/2018 and Law No. 12/PR/2018.

Enforcement measures now emphasize swift investigations, thorough documentation of cases, and immediate transfer of files to competent courts. All cases must be reported to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice and the National Commission for the Fight against Human Trafficking for rigorous monitoring.

Provincial delegates have been tasked with ensuring strict adherence to these directives. This coordinated effort aims to establish a national database, laying the groundwork for a more effective anti-trafficking policy across Chad.
