The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to private sector engagement, kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the helm. The event drew over 700 investors from allied nations eager to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire’s thriving economy.

“This marks a pivotal moment in our consultative process, focusing on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” declared the Prime Minister. “Our goal is clear: mobilize the private capital essential for realizing our developmental ambitions. The presence of more than 700 investors from friendly nations underscores the global confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory.”

In a gathering that saw top business leaders, investors, and private sector delegates flock to Abidjan, the Head of Government emphasized the forum’s role as a vital platform for dialogue and alignment with the private sector. He highlighted its significance in fostering a shared vision for sustainable growth.

“Your commitment alongside us signals unwavering trust in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects,” he told the audience. “You are instrumental in translating our vision into reality—building a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in our shared future.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s strategy to position the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the nation’s economic resilience, citing robust growth averaging 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is an economy on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities,” he stated. “Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in critical sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, and strategic infrastructure development in transport, digital innovation, and logistics. These investments will enhance our competitiveness and appeal while prioritizing human capital, innovation, and essential services to cultivate a more productive and inclusive economy.”

Recalling the first day of the forum, which centered on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, the Prime Minister noted the participation of over 3,000 delegates from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

Leading industry figures echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030, signaling a strong partnership between the public and private sectors.
