The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 advisory group meeting kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This session focused exclusively on engaging private investors to drive the country’s economic transformation.
« This marks another milestone in our investment-focused advisory process, centered on enterprise and value creation, » Mambé stated. « We are thrilled to see over 700 investors from friendly nations joining this vital discussion. » The Prime Minister emphasized how this gathering serves as a critical platform for dialogue with the private sector while aligning on a shared development vision.
Addressing the assembled business leaders and investors, the government chief highlighted the pivotal role private partners play in realizing Côte d’Ivoire’s growth ambitions. « Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in our economic potential and growth trajectory, » he noted. « You are essential allies in building a more competitive economy that generates quality jobs. »
Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of economic transformation. He pointed to Côte d’Ivoire’s proven economic resilience and adaptability, citing an average 6.5% annual growth over recent years that places the nation among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« This represents a rapidly expanding market for investors like you, » he continued. « Today’s sessions will focus on accelerating investments in key PND 2026-2030 priority areas, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, and human capital investment through innovation and essential services that foster a productive, inclusive economy. »
The Prime Minister also noted that the first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and development strategy presentations, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Business leaders echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of Côte d’Ivoire’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 implementation.
