Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – The Vice-Premier Minister and Finance Minister Adolphe Muzito has vowed that the current government will make the DRC a key economic player in Africa by 2035. In an exclusive interview with Jeune Afrique, Muzito stressed the need for sustainable development, investment, and good governance to achieve this ambitious goal.
Muzito’s vision for the future:
The Minister outlined his government’s ambitious plan to transform the DRC into a major economic hub in Africa. He emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure, promoting private sector growth, and improving the business environment to attract foreign investment.
Challenges ahead
Muzito acknowledged that there are many challenges to overcome, including corruption, lack of infrastructure, and limited access to finance. However, he remained optimistic about the potential for economic growth and development in the DRC.
Africa’s third economic power
According to Muzito, the DRC has the potential to become Africa’s third major economic power, after South Africa and Egypt. He cited the country’s rich natural resources, including copper, cobalt, and diamonds, as well as its strategic location on the African continent.
