Gabon Poste’s General Manager, Alfred Ikaka Bobe, has announced the launch of a digital tool designed to help Poste savings customers confirm their inclusion in the official creditor list following the liquidation of PostBank SA, a subsidiary of Gabon Poste that collapsed in 2017.
This new online verification application allows depositors to check their names remotely using either a computer or smartphone. To access the platform, simply visit https://www.ccp.laposte.ga.
The service went live on Monday and quickly experienced a surge in traffic, with nearly 10,000 visitors in just a few hours. Recognizing the high demand, Alfred Ikaka Bobe confirmed that the system has been upgraded and will be fully operational starting Wednesday.
Users are required to confirm their status as living depositors and can specify their preferred payment location, whether within Gabon or abroad. Those who have lost their original savings booklet and are officially listed by the liquidator must visit a Poste branch to request a replacement.
The government’s transitional administration has prioritized resolving this long-standing financial debt, initially incurred after PostBank SA’s insolvency. Approximately 60,000 savers are affected, with a commitment of 31.212 billion CFA francs allocated over three years to settle claims through annual disbursements.
