The Prime Minister of France, Sébastien Lecornu, is scheduled to make his first official visit to Rabat on July 15. The following day, he will co-chair the High Joint Moroccan-French Commission with Morocco’s head of government, Aziz Akhannouch. This high-level meeting will focus on strengthening bilateral ties across key sectors like energy, defense, and economic cooperation.
The gathering marks the most significant diplomatic engagement between Rabat and Paris since France’s new ambassador to Morocco, Philippe Lalliot, assumed his post. The agenda underscores a renewed commitment to deepening collaboration and fostering mutual strategic interests.
