Abidjan hosts pivotal investor-focused session of Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026-2030 development blueprint
Abidjan, 09 July 2026 – The Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, Robert Beugré Mambé, today chaired the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively dedicated to attracting private investment. Held at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, the session brought together over 700 investors from friendly nations, signaling strong international confidence in the country’s economic trajectory.
In his opening remarks, Robert Beugré Mambé framed the gathering as a critical milestone in mobilizing private capital to support Côte d’Ivoire’s long-term growth ambitions. « This session marks another key step in our efforts to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » he stated. « The presence of more than 700 investors from around the world demonstrates the trust placed in our nation’s economic potential. »
The event drew a high-profile audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, all converging to engage in strategic dialogue with government officials. The Prime Minister emphasized the role of private actors as essential partners in transforming Côte d’Ivoire into a more competitive, job-creating economy. « Your commitment reflects confidence in our nation’s growth prospects and in our ability to deliver inclusive prosperity, » he told attendees. « Together, we can turn ambition into reality. »
Highlighting the government’s strategic pivot toward private sector-led development, Robert Beugré Mambé underscored Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience amid global uncertainty. « With an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, our economy has proven its capacity to adapt and thrive, » he noted. « We stand among Africa’s most dynamic markets — and today’s discussions will further strengthen that position. »
The Prime Minister outlined key investment priorities under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials, infrastructure expansion in transport and digital sectors, and investments in human capital and innovation. « These are the pillars that will make our economy more productive, inclusive, and globally competitive, » he asserted.
He also pointed to the success of the first day of the Consultative Group, which focused on institutional partners and the national development strategy, drawing over 3,000 participants from 49 countries — including Côte d’Ivoire. « That turnout reflects the world’s recognition of our vision and opportunities, » he said.
In a show of solidarity, leaders from major business networks — including the General Confederation of Ivorian Businesses (CGECI), the French Business Movement (MEDEF), the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) — reaffirmed their support for Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda. Ahmed Cissé (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled (IFC) pledged substantial financial commitments, vowing to play an active role in implementing the PND 2026-2030 through large-scale investments.
