In an official statement released on July 6, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates denounced the dangerous schemes designed to destabilize public order and threaten lives and property across Moroccan territory.

Ambassador Fouad Majali, the ministry’s spokesperson, emphasized that Jordan stands firmly alongside Morocco in its fight against terrorism. He stressed complete backing for all measures implemented by Moroccan authorities to protect citizens, maintain national security, and uphold stability.

Based on intelligence received from the General Directorate for National Security (DGST), simultaneous arrests were carried out in multiple Moroccan cities, targeting individuals radicalized and plotting violent acts.
Initial investigations reveal that the suspected terrorists were logistically and operationally connected to the Islamic State’s Sahel branch, highlighting regional security concerns.
