The Republic of Kazakhstan has reaffirmed its view of Morocco as a key strategic partner, highlighting vast potential for expanding bilateral trade and investment opportunities. This declaration came during a high-level meeting in Rabat, where Alibek Kuantyrov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, addressed the media following discussions with Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade.

Kuantyrov, leading a high-powered delegation of business leaders and officials, emphasized Kazakhstan’s eagerness to import premium Moroccan goods directly—eliminating intermediaries to secure top-tier products for domestic consumption.

The Kazakh delegation also expressed strong interest in boosting exports to Morocco, particularly in wheat, processed goods, and other commodities. Kuantyrov noted the robust political alignment between the two nations on global issues and their mutual support in international forums.

For his part, Minister Mezzour underscored the shared commitment to deepening Kazakhstan-Morocco relations, emphasizing the Central Asian nation’s valuable resources—including gas, cereals, and meat—that align with Morocco’s strategic needs.

Mezzour highlighted how these resources could enhance Morocco’s food security, stabilize household purchasing power, and reduce living costs for citizens by easing supply pressures.

Both delegations concluded the talks with a renewed pledge to foster a direct and sustainable economic partnership. Their goal is to strengthen bilateral trade, ensure stable supply chains, and attract mutual investments that benefit both economies.
