Mali advances urgent health projects with Bamako hospital constructions

A high-level government delegation, led by Colonel-major Assa Badiallo Touré, Minister of Health and Social Development, inspected the construction sites of the upcoming hospitals in Bamako’s Communes III and VI on August 6, 2026. These facilities are central to the Presidential Urgent Action Project, designed to bolster Mali’s healthcare infrastructure.
Despite facing harsh weather conditions, construction teams are working around the clock to meet deadlines. Colonel-major Assa Badiallo Touré praised the rapid progress, emphasizing the urgent need to deliver accessible, high-quality medical services to communities. The Minister of Justice also commended the project’s execution quality, reinforcing the government’s commitment to equitable healthcare access for all Malians.
