The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations, conducted with international partners, resulted in the elimination of nearly a hundred armed fighters in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat.
Coordinated strikes target armed groups
In an official statement, the army detailed that the operations specifically targeted fighters belonging to the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azavad Liberation Front (FLA). During the raids, 13 airstrikes were executed, successfully destroying six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.
Sustained commitment against armed factions
The military emphasized that these operations took place on Tuesday and are part of an ongoing nationwide campaign against armed groups. It reaffirmed its commitment to continue such missions with precision and determination, in close collaboration with allied forces.
International support in combat operations
The Africa Corps, in a statement shared on X, confirmed the destruction and burning of multiple militant vehicles. It also disclosed that one of its drones had neutralized a vehicle transporting ammunition and military supplies.
The Russian Africa Corps highlighted that these operations were part of a series of successful joint missions with the Malian army against regional armed factions. It reiterated its intention to persist in targeting militant positions and equipment to weaken their operational capacity.
