Mali’s armed forces have confirmed neutralizing nearly a hundred armed militants during synchronized military operations conducted in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat this week. The coordinated strikes, executed in partnership with allied forces, targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA).
The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) detailed the mission in an official statement, revealing that 13 precision airstrikes were carried out. These strikes not only eliminated combatants but also resulted in the destruction of six armored vehicles and a pick-up truck reportedly used for logistical support by the militant groups. The offensive, which unfolded on Tuesday, is part of a broader military campaign aimed at dismantling armed factions operating across the country’s northern territories.
In a follow-up announcement on X, Africa Corps disclosed additional operational outcomes, including the incineration of multiple militant vehicles and the successful targeting of a supply vehicle laden with ammunition and military-grade equipment by one of its unmanned aerial systems. The group emphasized the strategic importance of these joint operations, describing them as highly effective in degrading the operational capacity of armed factions in the region.
Africa Corps reiterated its commitment to sustaining these efforts alongside Malian troops, vowing to persist in striking militant positions and destroying their matériel to ensure sustained pressure on hostile groups.
