A significant shift has occurred within the command structure of the MPC (Mouvement Patriotique pour la Centrafrique) in the Central African Republic. Ahmat Chaltout, who recently assumed the role of Chief of Staff for the MPC, has reportedly capitulated. This development sees him yielding his position to Didot Ali, the former Chief of Staff for the same movement.
Reports indicate that this change in leadership was directly influenced by considerable pressure exerted by Russian mercenaries operating in the region. The intervention of these external forces appears to have been a decisive factor in Ahmat Chaltout’s decision to step down, allowing Didot Ali to reclaim his former authority within the MPC.
