Researchers, teachers, students, and representatives from institutions gathered to debate the main challenges associated with population growth and its implications for Niger’s development.
The exchange emphasized the importance of having reliable demographic data and better understanding social and cultural realities to inform public policies, particularly in areas such as education, healthcare, and employment. Participants also stressed the role of research and dialogue among various actors in accompanying societal changes.
The meeting recalled that demographic dynamics represent a major challenge for Niger, but can also be an opportunity when young people have favorable conditions to develop their skills and fully participate in the country’s economic and social life.
